Mondooker, my understanding is that Prevosts don't have steerable tags. We have 'liftable' tags. Actually, the pressure is released on the tag when you move the lever. Since our coaches are very heavy, the tag still carries a little bit of weight and won't lift all of the way.
I've seen the seated coaches where the tag will lift all of the way up.
Newell coaches have steerable tags.

Your tag should lift all the way off the ground. In the past (like my '88) Prevost simply released the air pressure. The new setup (and mine could be changed) actually uses air pressure to lift the tag to clear the ground. I just don't have the $6,000 to get the update add to my coach.
