2 TV's 1 Direct Sat Box .....

The Directv box may have more than one antenna outlet to match various electronic add-ons. (i.e. most DVR's do not have an HDMI input since they don't record in high def). Compare antenna outs on the DTV with antenna ins on the TVs. I'm using a 10 pin composite to RCA cord to connect my VRC to my genie remote.

It all depends how many LNB's you have. If you have a Dome generally they only have one LNB, but if you have a dish then it is possible you have all three LNB's to where you can watch one program in front and a different on the rear. But if you only have on LNB and only one receiver then you can only watch the same program that is in the front tv in the rear. Now if you have two receivers one for the front and one for the rear then it is my understanding you can watch two different programs at the same time on Direct TV. You can not do that with Dish because they have two separate satellites.

I just switched to Direct from Dish and I have to watch the same program that is on the front in the rear because I have the Kingdome and it only has one LNB, and I only have the front receiver/DVR in the front.

My coach does have a selector box to switch from ANT to Aux and Sat.

This sounds ideal!!! The IR repeater .... is that something in addition to the box number 1 or 2? Do I need additional wiring or just use the coax already in place? I'll check EBAY and Amazon for availability.

Had the same issue about 6 months ago. Sure you can use a splitter, but you will be splitting the RF signal going from the DTV box and into the TV. When I did that all I got was 2 TVS with marginal signal. I scrapped that and got a system called Leapfrog by Terk. Found one on eBay for $30. You have 2 little boxes, one hooked to the AV out on the DTV box and the other box hooks to the remote tv. Box 1 broadcasts to box 2. Works great for me. It also has an IR repeater so you can control the DTV box from the TV 2 location. Might give it a look.

We have a video switch. If one of us wants to watch a program that is over the air, we can select Antenna while the other can watch satelite or a movie on the VCR/DVD player.

You can use a splitter or the video switch box to achieve what your looking for.
You can't use a splitter between the LNB and the receiver(s).
Your good to go.
