Aqua Hot not only provides the hot water heating it provides all coach heating via an electric element or diesel. Coach heating is via small radiators located throughout the coach that the AQ system pumps heated antifreeze to. Small fans then blow the heated air. There are usually three zones in addition to an engine preheat system. Wonderful system, expensive to buy and expensive to repair. Most get damaged when not properly winterized and the coils within the heating unit burst from freezing. If the dealer is not a certified AQ dealer, demand that it be inspected by one before purchase and get a warranty that covers it.

Bought lessons are the best. But better when others have bought them! I need one for the Holiday Rambler.

It would help if you would post the model and size. I'd guess it's a Dynasty with the optional AquaHot which once you've had one you'll love how it heats and gives you free hot water at the end of the day while traveling.

We have the same engine and same year. Only expensive problems were the fuel pump about 5 years ago and we broke an injector line last year. Lots of rough roads, Alaska to Mexico, not to mention the I-5 :)

We have a bit over 100,000 miles on it.

Aqua Hot was an $11,000 option when the rig was NEW. They aren't adding that much to price of the used rig. Aqua hot is a great heating system for an RV. You have all the hot water you want and you can run off shore electric in RV Parks. No need to refill a propane tank every week if you are running the heat. Aqua hot is just on of many items in an RV that is not justifiable if you are looking at whether or not you will save money having it. My rig had an optional paint package that was $5,000+ and upgraded cabinetry that was $12,000. Neither saves any money over time. Like those things Aqua hot is a luxury item, you don't expect to save money with it.

Statistically with proper maintenance, at least 5 times that many miles before major repairs.
