2004 Coachmen Concord 235

It's amazing to me how little it takes to crack a windshield. Definitely see if the dealer will let your own mechanic check it out.

when I rented a car in Alaska I was told to do three things. 1) BUY glass breakage insurance, 2) buy glass breakage insurance, 3) buy glass breakage insurance.
I bought it and didn't need it fortunately.

We have a TL/Holiday Rambler 213 with a fold out sofa. We use self-inflating camping mats which are easy to inflate and store on top of the sofa. My wife made sheet sacks and this is a very comfortable arrangement. At least as comfortable as any RV mattress we ever had.

The 275ds has a different setup then the 235. The 275ds has a bed in the slide in the back and a dinette that converts to a bed. The wife did put some sort of mattress topper on top of the mattress. Sorry can't help much with this.

I forgot to ask how you handle sleeping in the unit. Do you leave the folding sofa set up all the time? It looks as if this would work, though it would eat up a lot of room. Probably not a practical idea.

And, do you put a mattress pad or something on it? The one we looked at sloped to the fold point, making it uncomfortable. Also, how wide is it? From what I remember, it must be something like 36", a bit small for two adults.

is it legal with the current windshield? if so I certainly wouldn't get a new one till after your alaska trip.

LOL, it can be a challenge anymore. Just have to be slightly wary and make sure all bases are covered before signing anything,

Thanks Kurt. That's good information. And, it makes me more comfortable.

Now, if my old B will just sell before the Concord sells.

I've had lots of calls and one guy claims he will buy it when his insurance money comes in next week (his B burned up while having the fuel pump replaced). I've had some obvious scammers, and some I'm not sure about. It's a challenge to sell anything these days.
