2004 Holiday Rambler Ambassador 40 PDD

Hi all,
Looking to possibly buy an 04 Holiday Rambler Ammbassador. Looked at the Holiday Rambler site archives to find an owners manual. they skip over model years 2002 AND 2004, Anyone know why? Also is this vehicle possibly involved the the rear trailing arms recall and is there a way for me to find out if it has been done. Other thoughts about this coach overall would also be appreciated

I believe the Ambassador was the equivalent to the Monaco Knight, which DID NOT have the trailering arm issue. It was the Monaco Cayman and Holiday Rambler Neptune on the R4R Roadmaster chassis that has two air bags per axle and had problems. The Knight and Ambassador are built on the RR8R Roadmaster chassis which has four airbags per axle.

Stay AWAY from any Monaco coaches on the R4R chassis as they are very rough riding, even when they've had the trailering arm repair.

Here is a Knight brochure: 2004 Knight

Thanks for the info and link to the brochure. The brochure does say that the Knight only has four airbags and I assume that they are saying 4 total not 4 per axle? is there anyway to check to see if the recall has been done?
  • Yes, it has trailing arm problems.
