2005 Fleetwood Excursion Side Mirror marking lights

Hope someone can help me out, driving me nuts at this point. I had no marker lights on the front top. Found a loose wire and they are working now but my question is do the marker lights in the mirrors stay on all the time as a marker light? They do light when I put the blinker on for that side but for the life of me I cannot remember if they stayed lit all the time as a marker with the running lights on.
