2007 Winnebago View Diesel

Would sure appreciate any comments on the quality of this kind of rig. A friend has one for sale for $40,000 with 70k miles. She's taken good care of it, but I worry about expensive diesel maintenance, as I'm on a budget, as well as finding shops who can do it, as I live in a rural area (W. Colorado). I think I can afford the 40k, but not sure if I can afford to keep the thing running. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

  • We love ours. I do almost all the maintenance. Be sure to read the specifications here: M-B Specs

Be aware that these specs will call out items above average in price such as engine oil. I got mine along with the oil filter and its wrench at Amazon.

Only semi-serious problem to crop up to date is a glow plug failure and I had it replaced at a shop. I could have done it myself but I was in a hurry. I observed the work, too.
  • midnightsadie or any others with diesel, do you ever have problems finding fuel?
  • 70k not even broke in yet ,those diesels are top of the line , we have a leisure travel van with the 5cyc engine and just love it, frieghtliner mech can work on them as well as others . if theres was going to be a problem it should have shown up by now ,fed X puts 300k or more on some. we like ours.
