I love the way you put yours in with the Velcro. I am going to do the same thing. You need to be able to check that area easily. My mod if going to be to add a drain plug in the cap like there is in a cooler or the sump area of a boat. That way you can pull down the trim and if u find water, just pull the plug like draining the bathtub. Pretty sad actually but its better than sucking it out with a turkey baster. I am still waiting for the call to go pick mine up. I hope it is soon. I wish I could say I have confidence that it will stay dry but I don't, so trust but verify! That has a ring to it.
