2015 View Wallpaper Issues/Questions?

We just bought a new 2015 Winnebago View 24M last week and although we've yet to go on our maiden voyage, my wife and I are very pleased with it. The fit and finish seem very good with the exception of a poor job of wallpapering directly under the large kitchen area window. For the entire length of the window there is wrinkling and bubbling. Someone either didn't take the time to smooth out the wrinkles or for some reason wasn't able to. My wife wants to take it back to the dealer because she sees this becoming a bigger issue in the future... the separation getting bigger and working its way to the back splash. None of the other windows have this issue. My questions are: Is this common in other Views or Navions? Is this something a local dealer can fix? I certainly don't want to send the unit back to Winnebago Industries. If the local dealer pulls the window out to try and re-paper could that make even bigger problems in the future? Maybe leaking? What are your thoughts on this? I appreciate all responses!
  • This is not "wallpaper" as you think of it in a house, and unless your window would leak, I'd bet you'd never see it get worse.
I don't think I'd let anyone other than the factory even try to fix this. Be like opening a can of worms.
On one of your trips up north, run by the factory and have them look at it along with all the other issues your dealer can't fix. Make an appointment though, early. The factory is really worth touring while your there
  • I would take it back for the fix and make some type of water intrusion is the problem.
    Don
  • Same problem with our new Itasca. Found an area near the top of the shower where the "wallpaper-er" slapped a short piece in and didn't even get it on in a matched way. It never fit and was left grossly wrinkled.

We plan to let the dealer wrestle with it under warranty. At the end of the day the DW has pretty good skills with WP and can probably make a decent fix, but would prefer the dealer fix it.
