I'm about ready to replace my 255/80R22.5 with 275/70R22.5's. I am a member of FMCA and the discount is about $75 per tire. I went to three different large tire dealers and asked the question; If you could put any tire on your motor home which brand would you purchase? I did not say anything about FMCA, all said Michelin. Michelin is good enough for the manufacturer, those three retailers, they're good enough for me. IMHO.
For airplane tires I only use Goodyear. For me, brand is dependent on your application. My cars have neither brand.
