This is what I have. The dial sticks out of the right side. When you turn it, it moves the numbers above the "Temperature Set" arrow.

It came with standard with 30 amp service. Even if it did come with 50 amp service, I can't fathom any reason why the previous owners would go through the hassle of converting it down to 30. They kept all of their service records, and I have scoured all of them. Not once was there a mention of doing that or of replacing the ECC.
What is weird, though, is that the manual that I have for the ECC shows a picture of it, and it is the same as mine except below the LEDs for the AC's, there is a switch that lets you pick which AC (or both) to run. Mine does't have this switch. It's just blank, as you can see in the picture.
