Our story is much like some others here.
Yesterday (Sunday September 12) we had a problem that forced a shutdown on I-96 about 20 miles east of the state capitol. I called AAA. I gave them all the information. We had not heard for an hour when My wife called them again. This time she was told that they had nobody to send to get us off the highway.
I was a AAA member for nearly 50 years. This is the second time I have had an RV policy there. This time just short of 20 years. I tried to use it twice before and one of those was also a failure, but at least that time they called and told us.
This current mode of operation I find completely unacceptable. If someone else had not started this thread, I would have.
We did get help after my wife called the police and asked for a lead. That worked our great. An officer came by and said he had one on the line. We and the coach got home. The nearest place than could do what she needs is another 100 miles, so I will do it - just not on the side of the road and I will have to order parts.
