Recommend you get to know and understand how 12 volt DC and 120 volt AC systems work together to control and operate appliances and air conditioner and furnace and how to maintain the engine starting and house batteries including periodic cleaning of terminals, checking voltage of house batteries when plugged into short power to verify that charger/converter is working, checking of battery voltage when engine is running, and maintaining battery electrolyte levels with distilled water. Also get to know the location of circuit breakers and fuse boxes and emergency start switch on dash board. If you already understand the above, you are better informed than many RV'ers and better able to diagnose and fix problems on the road.
Good to have a digital multi-meter, "turkey baster" battery filler,
battery terminal cleaning tool and box of assorted fuses and interior light bulbs along with a good set of basic tools kept in the motorhome.
