Please keep us posted on the outcome. Good luck, hopefully it is something simple. - GreenMtMommaExplorerThx all yes full tank of gas in the MH. MP- Going into service today. May have to postpone going to Zion, Grand Canyon etc ... Will let you know what they say.
- Mandalay_ParrExplorerSuggest you find an electrical person to help you.
- Mich_FExplorerDo you have at least a 1/4 tank of fuel in the MH?

Ten bear - I can't test bc docking at rest stop. Also volt meter on list to pick up but no place near me had one ... Is there a suggested model? Also thought I needed something to test current at campsites? Are these two things the same?
Here is an outlet tester to check the power at a campsite. Unfortunately, the 30 Amp outlet is different from the usual household outlet so you also need an adapter.
I can't really suggest a multimeter. There are many available for a wide range of prices, but without the knowledge it may not be wise to start using one ??????
If you go to eBay, Amazon, Sears, etc and google Multimeter, you will find lots of them for a wide range of prices. I think I paid less than $10 for the one I use most of the time. - tenbearExplorerIt's probably not wise for you to be measuring AC voltage since if you touch the wrong things it can kill.
Sorry I can't suggest what to do if you are stopped at a rest stop. If you had power I would suggest you try the AC with the RV plugged in but without power I'm stumped - GreenMtMommaExplorerTen bear - I can't test bc docking at rest stop. You need an AC voltmeter. Most of us use a multimeter that measures many electrical things, AC and DC voltage and current, resistance, and sometimes other things. - tenbearExplorer

We turned it on today for the first time AC ran at dealer but we were plugged into electric so did not run off generator at that time. So today when I turned it on it was the first time running off generator ... Ran for about five minutes.
So it ran on shore power and generator and now doesn't run on generator. Does it still run when RV is plugged in? - GreenMtMommaExplorerI'm not sure how to measur AC voltage... Tenbear how do I measure voltage?
