Some history.. RV is a 2005, Purchased new.. They included a fairly cheap stinky slinky...
When I broke down (2014) That hose was the EXACT length to reach the sewer inlet from my outlet when supported by a Slunky sewer hose support.
Fast Forward nearly 3 years in the Georgia Sun.
I dumped. Hose did not leak..... Uncoupled from the rv and the thign shattered, I swept up the pieces and trashed it (I have newer hoses in storage)... That is after 3 full years in the S.E. Georgia sun, one Hurricane, couple of other major storms, and it was still good.
So yes they age out.... But it did not leak it just shattered
I have a brand new Tetford Sentenal.. This replaces the "Smart Hose" I bought from them a few years back (about 5) as they did a recall on the Smart (Folks had issues with 'em) I actuallyu like the smart hose better but the Sentenal is still in the box.
