Air brake certification is required in all Canadian provinces and many U.S. States for a good reason. You should not operate airbrakes without understanding the system. Air brakes must be operated differently: For instance, Pumping the brakes repetitively on an air brake system could result in loss of air. This will cause the front brakes to fail AND simultaneously cause the rear brakes to lock up and be impossible to release without a mechanic.
