I have a question about 'draining' the air system of water. How important can it be if they hide the pull cords behind the front passenger side wheel/tire? You almost have to remove the tire to get to them. Lying on the ground, I used the awning crank but couldn't tell if those drain cords moved or not. Should they hiss at me?
Advice?
If you have an AIR DRYER as 95% of DP's do, the tank drain is merely a "report card" on the condition of the air dryer. If you ever get anything but clean dry air, you are PAST DUE for servicing your air dryer.
So, is it suppose to hiss or not? Would a few drips of water come out? I've been parked for almost 2 weeks now w/o starting the engine. Does that make a difference?
I do know that the air tank with a gage on top is right in the front of the RV under the front hood (this is a diesel pusher), and that the air pressure slowly sinks over time. Today it's at 20 PSI.
I haven't found the air dryer yet. A couple posts in this thread suggest it'll be back by the engine?
