Use your onboard. Get a hose, 50', with hookup to coach port, other end with lock on valve stem fitting. Hook up, pump down brakes, watch air gauge, when compressor spits off. You will have what ever your on board air says, is what is in your tire.
J&R I do have a onboard compressor that goes to 120. but I have never tried it because I had a 30gal 135psi and it wouldn't do the job? this one I am looking at has 15.2 CFM 13.SCFM @40PSI AND 10.5 @ 90PSI Not sure what all that means?. 240v 6.5 hp.. 60gal. I didn't think one of them pancakes 150psi would do it because of the tank being so small. - David0725Explorer IIJ&R I do have a onboard compressor that goes to 120. but I have never tried it because I had a 30gal 135psi and it wouldn't do the job? this one I am looking at has 15.2 CFM 13.SCFM @40PSI AND 10.5 @ 90PSI Not sure what all that means?. 240v 6.5 hp.. 60gal. When you have you're hose on the tire and compressor port, and the air governor spits off. It's at 120-125psi. Just drain down air to kick on compressor.
I would say NO.. for a 125 PSI tire you need at least 150 PSI if not more in the tank. (Compressor tank) Oh, theory has it it will eventually get the tire up to 125,, but you will get tired of waiting. - wa8yxmExplorer IIII would say NO.. for a 125 PSI tire you need at least 150 PSI if not more in the tank. - J_R2ExplorerYou're onboard compressor should build to 120-125psi. just install port and hose.
- J-RoosterExplorerI have a little 125 psi compressor that I bought at Harbor Freight and it runs as darsben1 described. Sure is good for blowing off dead grass on the riding lawn mower before I put it away. I would take Mandalay Parr suggestion and buy one at 145 psi! By the way I bought mine for $99.00 brand new (NIB). Good Luck, Rooster
- Mandalay_ParrExplorerI would get a 145 pounder
- Bill_SatelliteExplorer IIYikes, is this a big 4-6 foot tall air compressor? If so, I am guessing it will do a fine job of filling your tires while you are at home!
- 2oldmanExplorer IIYeah, that should do it. Just don't try taking it on the road. Keep it in the naborhood.
- darsben1ExplorerYes and no
It will get it to 125 LB eventually but the last few pounds will take forever.
I cannot find a tank size or recovery rate for this unit.
I think for half the money
