air ride seats

Were the seats in your coach an add on or were they standard and installed by Monaco? What brand are they? Do you have them on both sides?
I don't think it going to be a big job if I keep my seats. May be getting all the parts to mate together would be the only thing. I do need to get a low profile base and I have found several of them and the swivel.

I can't compare to what you have but OMG the air seats in my Monaco are an unbelievable ride. They do air up and ride taller so I had to make a 3" high footrest so I didn't feel like Lilly Tomlin in her BIG chair. Wow, what a great ride. I never really noticed any problems with the ride in my non air seat Revolution but It really does change the comfort level.

I think my coach probably rides nothing like yours. It has a really firm suspension and only 4 air bags. But I will take a look at some seats that are softer. I really like my seats but it will be better for wife's back if I can make the ride better for her.

Our coach seats are not air. They really don't need to be. They're soft but firm and very comfortable. You may not have to change your pedestal. Find some on display and sit in them. May save a lot of time and headaches. My personal truck has bostrom talladeaga air seats. Firm, supportive with lumbar and adjustable seat, but nothing like coach seats.

Some Bostrom airride seats have a centering device that allows you to snap a handle back and the seat will slide back and forth on the track, taking the back jarring out of the ride . Basically, when you hit a bump, the seat rolls back and forth on the track, taking backslap out of the ride. We had them in our Peterbilts. Bostrom Wideride has a damper to do the same thing. Having ridden 3 million miles on air I want the best and smoothest. How much is your back worth compared to surgery? I can tell you as I've had 2. Look at Peterbilt or Kenworth seats also, they make them too.

Flexsteel seats. Also trucking all my life. These came in our MH. Won't fit in tractor cab, or would have. Look at them before you by anything.

Thanks for all the replies. I have found a Bostrom swivel adapter and am now looking for a pedestal. I will keep my original seats as they are like new. I already have an air ride suspension so will just run an extra air line to the seats.
Will let you know how the project come's out. Any more ideas or pictures of someone else installation will be most appreciated.

Short answer is yes.

I don't know if you have a diesel or not. If not, a small pump such as used by the car guys who run air suspension will run off 12V.

The swivel, seat, and seat platform may require some modifications to get the bolt holes to line up. Put the swivel on top of the air base, between the base and the seat.

The swivel is about 2.5 inches thick. Take that into consideration when looking at dimensions of the base and seat. You don't want the lowest position to be one where your brides feet won't touch.
