airbag dump valve

My coach doesn't dump the air first and that is whatI am wanting to do. Would just like to dump the air bags from inside the coach instead of at the bleeder valve at the rear of the coach.

On my 99 Harney, when I raise, the bag pressure goes down. When I come down off the jacks, you can see the coach lower, and then lift itself with the air bags.

The alfa doesn't have anythingto do with my system. Iwas just saying I was going to look at his system to get some ideas of how they hooked up his dump valves.
As for the air bags being depleted as the jacks raise the coash that is probable true. However, the coach is still up the height of the airbags and so the jacks have to extend further before starting to level the coach. My system is not automatic leveling. Just wanted to drop the coach and then level.
Thanks for all the time and thought you guys put in to this. Will let you know what action I take. If any.

Ok, we may be getting somewhere with your issue. Here's a test you can do that may help you some. If you start to use your levelers, do you feel any movement in the coach, (as in sinking down) prior to any of the jacks touching the ground? Do you "HEAR" any air escaping as your hydraulic pump is working to pump up the leveling system? And finally, If you could, SAFELY, lay near the coach close enough to see the air bags as your DW starts to use the levelers and see if you can tell if they're deflating or not?

Now, once you've done any of these tests and, determine they are in fact deflating as you are using the levelers, then you might not be lifting the coach as high as you may think because the jacks and the bags are "meeting" in the middle so to speak. As the bags deflate, and the coach starts to drop in height, then the levelers "catch" that drop and start to raise the coach for leveling. Just my thoughts here.

I have NEVER seen a Diesel Air bag system that did NOT deflate when the jacks hit the ground and start to lift the RV. This causes the ride height levers to move and THAT causes the bags to deflate. This does NOT happen on your Harney? I would suspect you have had a faulty system since it was new. There is NO sense in having the air bags stay inflated when you extend and level the RV with leveling jacks. Is there a Harney group or owners group you can contac and ask about this issue? Doug

Thanks guys for all the input. My leveling jacks are not connected to the airbag system in any way. If I don'topen the dump valves manually then the airbags never deflate. My dump valves are the kind you turn to open and close. Not like a bleeder valve on the bottom of the tank. Will take a look at an electric valve.

remove the drain valve and add an electric air valve valve in its place.Run the wires from the valve to a switch in drivers area of motorhome.

I dont know if a gas valve would work or not but my bounder is setup like this for the propane gas.

busyguy.....Depending on how hard your releases are to pull on your external air tank valves and if they automatically return, you might look at the electric sewer system valve openers. They open and close your grey and black tanks. They might be a good/cheap way to achieve what you want. Electric dump valves
