what unit are u looking at? If it has Aquahot system that's what is used for heating.it heats(if u get that option) the floor and it has heat exchangers with mini fans.it also heats fresh water for hot water(same unit dual purpose) The roof heat pumps work fine down to about 38-40 degrees assuming it warms up during the day but who wants those things blowing all nite long.anyways no to beleger the situation if your worried about cold weather heating wherever that might be the aquahot system is the best there is out there.

as others have posted here and you will have a Aqua hot hydronic water and heat system powered by 120V heater and via diesel injection unit. they don't make a unit with heat pumps as only source of heat that I am aware of? although if u only use a MH in warm weather u don't need a big source of interior heat.I live in south ca and use a little electric fire place.I have not fired the aqua hot or heat pumps here at all other than to make sure they work in my last 8 years
I have a lpg/120v fridge and LPG cook top.I have a 25 useable LPG tank I filled about 4 years ago and its still 1/3 full

This is just my opinion.

I did not want propane on board when we decided to purchase our first motorhome. The first coach was all electric (2008 Monaco Dynasty w/AquaHot) and now the second coach is in the sig. Not only is propane extremely flammable compared to diesel, it's more trouble fueling at two locations. I figured, just having one type of fuel on board was more convenient.

When we rented 3 coaches before purchase, we had to fill the diesel and propane tanks before return. That was a big pain as not all fuel stations have propane. That cured me of wanting propane.

On the new coach, our systems are 'large' so boondocking could last for weeks.

Many coaches are almost all electric. Even on our old(er) coach the only thing that uses propane is the stove and fridge (when traveling). Needless to say, the propane bottle lasts several years.

True all electric coaches are readily available by switching out the stove top for electric and using a residential fridge. Of course they will have large battery banks, multiple inverters, and a large gen set.

In my mind an all electric may cause some issues if you stop someplace with only 30 A power and etc.

X3 on it having something like a AquaHot which uses diesel or electric for the energy source. It has 12V pumps/fans/control system and when boondocking... the diesel boiler for the heat source. The newer ones have two 120V heating elements like in a normal hot water heater so while on electric rarely would you have to use the diesel boiler. With only one element I'm good down to the low 20s in the morning before needing to turn the diesel boiler on.

I recently replaced my NOcold 1200 with a 21 cu ft refer posted here as a DIY project...should have done it years ago. It uses 8 amps DC when running... less than a 100W electric bulb as they are that energy efficient.

It was only last year that I found a unit that I hoped would fit without any modifications to the cabinet. A Whirlpool WRT311FZDB in black came within 1/2" (too tall) of fitting and sticks out 4" further than the 1200 I replaced. I no longer monitor the temp several times a day as it's now a boring 34-36 all of the time. Like Executive I have to put the ice cream in the microwave to be able to dip it.:B

Like smlranger mentioned the "all electric" is a bit of a misnomer. If no propane I believe you will typically find diesel fired heat & water and that technology has been around forever. There is still a advantage to only carrying one fuel source and eliminating LP. We rarely boondock but many others swear they haven't lost anything boondocking with an electric fridge vs. the LP fridge.

Even the 'all electric' coaches have some sort of fossil fuel heat source....LP furnace or diesel (LP in some cases) Aqua Hot unit for heat and hot water.

Most I have seen have an AquaHot system for the main source of heat and hot water.

Almost all AC do have or can have cheap heat strips, what will turn AC into electric heater.
A bit annoying due to noisy blower, but it works.
Still without shore power, you will not last long without starting generator.
