1) should a person change the AT Filters yet?

2) any one know for sure how much oil drains when the two filters are removed

When I changed filters on my Allison 3000 MH, 4" sump, I lost about 1.5 Quarts of ATF. Draining the ATF & filters, you need to refill 19 Quarts, then check after driving with the transmission hot,at least 140F, using the up / down buttons.

    thanks good reading

look like around 2009 they switched to hi capacitys filters that are good for 75K and others before that should switch to them and then good for 75 K miles

Seems well past the time as in years, that Allison has listed on their chart of 36 months for standard fluid and filters.

If you have TES 295 that is a another chart. 20 qts. 5gal pal is cheaper.
