You have every right to be upset. Give the dealer and the manufacture unholy hell. If a company is to remain in business, it must provide the customer a quality product, at a reasonable price, at a time and place of the customer's choice. The by-product of satisfying the customer is to earn a profit. IMHO the manufacture should bit the bullet on this one.
