Power outlets that are 110(home type) will not work unless the van is plugged into electricity or the generator is running. You can get a power inverter to change12 volt battery power to 110 but is easier and more effective to get a 12 volt phone charger plugs into cigarette lighter type outlet.
What about if I wanna install a tv in my van or run a laptop or tablet. Eventually Im going to want a Laptop and cell phone plugged in for sure, maybe a tv. Is it better to get one of those adapter things that changes the 12 volt to 110? Will the auxillary battery be able to handle that? Or do I have to buy and install an actual inverter? Ive seen people hook inverters to 2 marine batterys, but my coachmen has the auxilary battery on the outside of the rv in the rear compartment door on the rear passenger side of the coach.
