- alexleblancExplorerI'm 30 right now and planning on a class A in less than 4 years (saving up for a sizeable downpayment right now). should be in one before 35 for sure.
- ValkyriebushExplorer III retired at 52 and bought our second class A (current RV) at that time as well. We did feel like youngsters for awhile amongst our peers. 61 now, so fitting in pretty good. lol
- rcmiller32ExplorerHave owned the Class A for 1 year now. Ages 53 and 52. Travel trailers for years before that. Never wanted a motorhome, liked having the truck and travel trailer. Kids are grown and out on their own now for a few years. Got tired of hearing the wife say are we there yet. Now she has room to work on crafts, make meals or sleep as I drive. Much less stressful on long trips. Haul the car on a dolly when we need one. Have made a few one day shopping trips, were we spend the night in the outlet mall parking lot. Allows use to take the furry kids with us.
- rolling_rhodaExplorerBought ours five years ago in our early 40's. Good friends had A's from their mid-30's, but a year ago switched to a high end truck conversion. We don't belong to any RV clubs. Most of our RV time is spent attending our kids' events, not exactly vacationing. That will change soon when our youngest leaves the nest.
- backhoemikeExplorerI am 43 we don't full time yet
- MrWizardModeratori've had four class A's
got my first one when in my 40's about 45 IIRC - RBabbExplorer38 here
- smacdieselExplorerI'm 51, dw is 40, 4 more years until I'm OLD.
- DSDP_DonExplorerWe've been RVing for forty years, started at 18. Had a truck camper(s) for 14 years, a Class C for 14 years, a Class A gasser for 1 year and bought a new Monaco Diplomat DP at 47.
Over the years we did most of our camping with our daughters until they moved out and married. They now have RV's. We loved RVing and found there were not to many people in our age group that could get as much time off as we did. Camped primarily with my sister and brother-in-law (similar jobs) for most of our adult life.
We were lucky to retire at a younger age, but found that many of the RV clubs and organizations had a much older crowd. We'll be that older crowd pretty soon - holstein13ExplorerYup, I'm 50 and the wife is 40. I've had a class A since I was 47. We are now fulltimers homeschooling our two girls.
I don't belong to either club. What's WIT?
