Fridge controls work on 12 VDC on both gas and 120 VAC.

Yes, it more closely controls boiler temperature to extend cooling unit life. It is amazing how quickly boiler temperature rises if you stop out of level for a few minutes (like checking into a CG, getting fuel out of level, rest area, etc). Just one more reason ( actually several) to turn off the refrigerator and all propane, while traveling! No good reasons for not doing so - except disbelief.

I have a old Norcold 462. Still working after 24 years. I looked at this unit and with mine I would have to restart the propane manually. Not a big deal. Question is what if you running 120v, doesn't the same thing happen if your unlevel? Doesn't the unit over heat or is it all about the flame? Just asking.

Got my fridge repaired by National Refrigeration in Shipsewana, IN last week. Had the ARP unit installed at the same time. So far I like how the ARP works.
I was very impressed with Leon's work and knowledge of the absorption refrigerator. He and his helper did mine in less than 2 hours. Inside the motorhome. When job was done inside of motorhome was cleaner than when they started.
My ARP is mounted above fridge. This gives easy access to how the boiler is working.
