- I also went to the box store today and picked up some plywood to construct my 16 drawers for under the passenger counter, so I want to start working on them tomorrow.
Wahoo!
We'll see how that goes, and I'll update the spreadsheet later. - Ok, going back to this pic.....

This cup goes into our "Magic Bullet" blender. After gluing the "ear" back on, we have used it several times and it seems to be holding up pretty well.
I figured if it would fail, it would fail right away, but it did not fail - at least not yet.
I have found that the light has to actually "hit" the adhesive in order for it to cure.
That is to say, if I put some between 2 pieces of 1/8" plywood, there is no way to get the light to the adhesive, and it never hardens.
The UV light will not go through the plywood. If on the other hand, the adhesive is placed at a joint, like the plywood above, then it will harden nicely.
So, faithful followers, it does indeed seem to work based on my limited testing so far. JoeH wrote:

... and the instructions appear to be written by a native English speaker and not Chinese run thru a translate app ! It says it only hardens with UV, I suppose that would mean that on wood joints, that only the exposed edges would harden ? What if you just put a blob of the stuff outside, would the suns UV rays cause it to harden ?
That is a very good question. I now have the answer. I took 2 pieces of plywood, put a blob on the glue on it at the seam, and proceeded to set them outside in the sun.
I had intended to leave them there for about 15 minutes, as 1 minute did not harden it.
It was about 40 degrees F outside, and I got side tracked, and it was out there for about 30 minutes.
I went out, and the answer is .......
Drum Roll Please..........
Yes. The adhesive had hardened. Sooooo, putting it in the sun will harden it.

Add a little glue....
Add a little uv light for a few seconds.....
We end up with something looking like this.....
- Fortunately, we had a piece of plastic, that just happened to need a repair job, that, hopefully, this will fix.
There is supposed to be an ear here.
One that looks like this......

- It's here!

If weight is the main thing on your agenda, what did that roof covering weigh compared to a standard EPDM roof covering?
Weight isn't the only/main thing. Everything in an rv is a compromise. Is it too heavy? Is it too light and therefore won't last long term.
How much will it cost?
I was willing to compromise some weight on the roof, figuring if the roof leaks, the rv will self destruct over the long term.
On the other hand, if I can save some weight here or there, and still have it last, that just gives me extra cargo to carry.
The drawers are a combo of weight/cost/longevity.
I'll probably end up using 1/2" thick sides, with 1/4" bottoms, for the drawers. I think that will hold up, and I'll still save a couple of bucks on plywood, as well as some weight.
Nothing like a balancing act, to keep me on my toes.- LouLawrenceExplorer IIIf weight is the main thing on your agenda, what did that roof covering weigh compared to a standard EPDM roof covering?
