I had several questions from the electronics guy at Tiffin. The first thing he told me is that I cannot pull new coax, using the old because it is sealed in styrofoam. He said that I must run the control cables across the top of the coach and cover with eternabond tape. Same for replacement coax if it is necessary.
As for signal loss through barrell connectors: I originally thought this may be a problem but was wrongly thinking about an RF signal. I don't think any significant degradation in the signal will occur. I just need to protect it from weather. The signal from the SWM to the PI is, apparently, not as easy to degrade as RF from an over-the-air antenna. I have run up to 250' of coax with three barrell connectors from the SWM to the PI still got 93% plus on the 101 satellite and 85% plus on 99 and 103.
