As I was driving down the road watching my rearview camera

My camera shows just to the rear end my Jeep. At times it would be nice to see a little further back when you're in traffic. I wouldn't want to redirect the current camera because it shows the towbar....

I'm glad I read this post. I just went on my first trip with the 98 Damon Challenger and the rear monitor only came on when in reverse. I will check to see if it is off this evening when I get home. It never occurred to me that it should be on all the time. The added safety of knowing for sure it is safe to move back into the slow lane would be a huge blessing.
