- gone2dadesertExplorerThere are youtube clips that shows how to change the electric element, it looks pretty easy.
Good Luck! - PeppyPilotExplorerOn ours there is an almost impossible to find* overheating circuit breaker for the electric element.
If that pops, no elec hot water until you re-set. Propane fine.
Our Winnie Motor Aid (circulating engine coolant around WH so always hot water) was the culprit after a hard drive. We disconnected it; no problems since.
*way around the back: need to break your arm in two places to reach it! - Don_DonExplorerThere are no 12v electric hot water heaters. You have a 110v.
- rvtuffyExplorerI had similar problem several times. MH owners manual told me to cycle the relief on hot water heater as the air pocket in the htr wasn't correct. I did this and it worked.
- diveman52ExplorerYou have to have a 120 volt source to the WH for it to work on AC.
12 volts is only for the controls. Check to see if you have a switch that turn the AC power on and off?
If it's a 30 amp coach it will have this or a switch that selects from using the AC or WH not both at once. - fischerExploreraccording to the Atwood sit that model says uses propane, 12v and 110 v to get electic for the element

Sorry, I forgot to say that it is a 12 volt system and does not have an element
If it works on propane, like you say, that means it is working as it should. It must have 12 volts to cycle the propane thermostat off and on. - LeelatiolaisExplorerSorry, I forgot to say that it is a 12 volt system and does not have an element
- poli964ExplorerFirst thing first....do you have AC at the plug?
