Average carpet sqf in a RV?

I found a guy on Craigslist who does carpeting for a living. He quoted me at 250-300.00 including carpet and labor to do my RV. I told him it was 50-100sqf of carpet space which is obviously just a guess. Do you think I'm about right on that? It's a 31ft class C. From what I've read on here people are paying upwards of 2-4k on replacing their floors which is just ridiculous! So I went to craigslist, hopefully it works out.

  • No, just NO. You can't buy any kind of decent carpet for that price, much less install it with a good pad and proper stretching.

Now it's possible he is an installer who has a scrap of carpet & pad that is costing him nothing, because it has already been paid for by someone else's job.
And the charge is for the labor.

Ask to see the carpet, ask him about his installation methods, what pad, etc.
