$1500 carpet/padding/labor (I had already removed old carpet/padding and the 6000 staples factory installers used) :S
206 square feet = about 22 square yards. Most is around $10 - $15 per square yard? Or did the prices go way up in the past few years?
I know that the last time I bought carpet, they sold it by the liner foot, and it was 13 feet wide. So with the dimensions above, it would take 8 feet long X 13 feet, and the 8' wide, and 1 of the 3' wide can be cut out of the first 8 liner feet, while it will take 3 more liner feet to finish your job.
With a RV typically using some long but only 3 feet wide sections of carpet, they might have reminates that width, and able to do the job for a lower cost.
Last time I put carpet in my motorhome, I was able to buy 4' long X 13' wide blue indoor/outdoor carpet from Home Depot, and it installed over the old stuff with staples. It did not have insulation below the factory carpet, or this stuff. I think the cost was close to $1 per square foot.
