battery light on dash

I have a 1999 Fleetwood Bounder 36S . I have unwinterized it and was going to take it out last week. But the battery light on the dash is on and will not go off , The engine battery is fully charged. I assume the cabin batteries are as well as the jacks work fine. Not sure what to look for. Any advise is appreciated . Thanks
  • Ok checked the batteries , both showing 13 plus with engine off , With engine running show around 12.8 on both .

I think you will find that the jacks run off the chassis batteries. If the house batteries are low they will pull a big load on the charge circuit.

Get a meter and measure house and chassis batteries, with and without the engine running.
  • If you are talking about the Dash cluster display. That means the Alternator is either undercharging or overcharging. You need to get a 12 volt voltage reading at the chassis battery when the engine is ON. What Chassis do you have? Did you have the Genset ON also? Doug
