Bay door removal
On my '99 Newmar DSDP, I need to completely remove one of the top-hinged exterior bay doors from it's mounting to do some work.
The top of the door panel is secured into an aluminum extrusion which overlaps the top inside and outside of the door, and includes a round channel which pivots on a horizontal rod to form the hinge.
The door panel is attached to the extrusion by two screws at each end.
I have removed those screws, and detached the lift struts from the door panel.
Now, I can wiggle the door panel in the extrusion, and see relative movement at each end of the door panel.
BUT, there seems to be something in the center of the top edge of the door (like another screw which I can't find) which won't allow me to pull the door panel free of the extrusion.
Can anyone tell me what is still holding the door panel in place, and how to release it without doing damage to the coach?
Thanks!
Bob
