Bed Bugs

I've been on the fence on getting a class A. Last week went on a long trip to Texas. Upon arrival, got a hotel and checked for bedbugs. For the first time, check of mattress showed evidence of bedbugs!!! I left and tried two other motels with similiar results!!! Finally went down the road and found motel without bedbugs. Its getting frightening to travel.

I think the recent increase of bedbugs will be a boon to RV industry. Now you can't travel using hotels without fear of bedbugs.

Now I'm wondering if RV's for sale could have bedbugs too.

Check the RV for bed bugs before buying.
Don't forget to tell us about the class A you buy. :)

The scary thing is the young ones are not visible to the eye so not always possible to tell by looking. I've learned to look for their droppings on bare mattress (black clumps or looks like scattered black pepper) I was so upset at the hotel situation I didn't trust the clean hotel either. Took in set of clean clothes in a sealed plastic bag. Right before I left threw clothes on my back and shoes in the garbage, took a shower, and put on clean clothes in bathroom and hit the door.

That is the nice thing about RVs, you can remove the mattress and buy a new one.

Oh, we use our RV for traveling, not camping.
