Bedroom slide sticking

Our bedroom slide sticks when extending. You hit the extend button and the slide moves about an inch then stops. It will go back in ok. If you give it just a little push when extending, it goes out fine. Once out, it comes in ok. Have checked for obstructions and saw none. The bottom outside of the slide is solid and has two small tracks on it. I think all four slides are hydraulic. Any ideas on what may be causing it to stick...Thanks!
  • If it works with a push I'm guessing the motor is fighting friction along the rails, motor is getting weak, or not enough juice is getting to the motor.

If it was me, I would lube the tracks, clean the connections, and make sure the 12 battery is full of distilled water. All cheap and easy. If that doesn't fix the problem then I might get out the volt meter for the next step.

What do you mean by the unit and are you perhaps looking at the leveling Jack system?

  • This may sound really funky, but I'd put some WD-40 on all movable parts. If it extends with a little bit of "push" that may fix the problem.

Only that it might not be level, which could make the difference...
    Are ya sure they're hydraulic?
