- RedGExplorerI just recently got some quotes through Poliseek.com for my 2005 Newmar.
GMAC wanted $2189 a year, Progressive wanted $2900 a year, National Interstate wanted $1000 a year. I have AARP Hartford with my autos and got it for $722 a year from them. Progressive was 4X as high as Hartford. - Blaster_ManExplorerGood fast cheap. Pick any two...you can have any two, but not the third.
- AridonExplorerCall around. Couple of independent agents and geico should have you covered.
Insurance is personal, varies state to state and person to person wildly. - skipncharExplorerYou can buy insurance "by the pound" at Progressive. Just tell them how much you want to pay and they'll tell you how much they'll cover. LIke others have said though, Either your definition of 'good' is different or your definition of cheep is different but generally they don't belong in the same sentence.
- lanerdExplorer IICheap insurance typically involves the lowest possible coverage at the highest possible deductible... not to mention the most difficult to get reimbursed for a claim.
Best insurance typically involves the highest possible coverage at the lowest possible deductible...not to mention the least difficult to get reimbursed for a claim.
I don't think there is an insurance company that can do both within the same policy.
What you look for is a happy medium that you can afford and be comfortable with. As P&C mentioned above, you'll need to do some research and make a lot of calls. Some times you can do it on-line, but most of them don't have provisions for rv coverage....so you have to call them.
FWIW, I have all my vehicles through Good Sam GMAC. I found others that were cheaper, but GMAC has "storage" provisions for when my vehicle(s) are stored for more than 30 days, I can eliminate all coverage except comprehensive. Saves us several hundred dollars a year.
Hope this helps

Well, I don't have a "clue" what that means. Sorry if I offended you. Just be prepared to answer the questions I listed if you go shopping for MH coverage otherwise you will be SOL. - balfre1946Exploreri understand but sometimes this is a geriatric therapy session LOL

Sorry, but I just went through this process for the past 30 day's. I have been with Progressive for the past 8 yrs. with all auto's and MH. They raised my premiums and I have now moved to Geico. Saved over $600. By the way, I retired as a P&C Agent with 21 yrs. expierence. Shop your coverage, no one here can tell you what's best for you. - TrackrigExplorer IIThe first place I would check would be with whoever you insure your home and other vehicles with. Usually some sort of bundling ratet is cheapest.
