Priest Grade, although relatively short, is steep with very sharp switchbacks; you would be over the center line all many times. Compared to that, going south on 395 to 120 and over Tioga Pass is a cakewalk. From 395 up to Tioga Meadows is a long uphill slog but doesn’t have the sharp turns. I have had no problem going either up or down it with my travel trailer or with my (shorter than yours) motorhome with toad.
I would totally agree and with my last post, I didn't know it was called Priest Grade. It's as you've described totally and I'm originally from WV, so if anyone, I'm used to those kind of roads and still wouldn't want to recommend it. A lot of this, depends on where one is going afterwards, too.
