Blow out, what next??

On a cool/cold day, on duals with long braided stainless air valve extensions, the temperature given by a TPMS is very inaccurate. It is closer to the outside air temperature than the actual tire temperature.

OP, how close to max pressure are you running in your rear tires? If say it's 90 and you can inflate to 120 I'd limp on in... which I've actually done several times. No, the "OVERLOADED" tire did not blow in the future.
I agree that TPMS is pretty cheap insurance but tires do blow without any warning... like XRVs that blew sitting still.

It has always amazed me that a MH can cost hundreds of thousands of dollars and they don't put a TPMS on them. :h If I could afford one of them you can bet I would have one installed. Tires very rarely blow without some prior warning such as increased heat or drop in pressure. Ever heard the saying penny wise pound foolish? I believe it applies here. JMO

Every situation is different. If you call ERS, they can usually tell you how long it will take for the mechanic to arrive. Once you have that info, then you can make an informed decision. If the wait for the mechanic is too long for you, then you may decide to drive the short distance to the shop, IF you have called the shop first to make sure that they can help you once you get there.
Prior to driving to the shop, I would make sure to inflate the remaining dual to the max sidewall pressure to help minimize any damage to that tire.

"My" blowout was about 10 miles east of El Paso, Texas on I-10. Inside rear, drivers' side. Got off the road ASAP (I've seen the damage when one doesn't), called Coach_net...and after amazingly good service, 2 hours later, back on the road. I mean,it did help that the service truck was nearby...just finishing up with another customer. But...there it is. STOP. And call your road service...unless you want to muscle them tires around yourself. (Hernia city, there.....)

Several months ago my inside passenger dual blew out.

It managed to wrap the coach wiring around the axle and tear out the right exhaust pipe.

No limping down the road for me. I was dead in the water.

Every situation is different and you will have to make the call at the time based on the options you have...or don't have.

In 2.4 million miles of driving I have had 2 blowouts. One, a tire threw a recap and sounded like a stick of dynamite the other did the same and was in Oklahoma City on the raised portion of I 40. It scattered cars in 4 directions but did'nt hurt anything or cause any wrecks.

Does that road get less busy ? If You are safe where You are and can call Your Roadside Assistance then stay there for now . R.A. Usually takes some time and will often wait until they determine it is safe to send out a Tow Truck on a busy road.
