- TexasShadowExplorer IIwildlife doesn't mix well with crowds of people. for communing with wildlife, you have to get off away from the crowd.
- qtla9111NomadWell, it's obnoxious. Sitting there with binoculars watching a bird or an animal and then comes the tooting of the horn. Off goes the animal, startled. I only had one chance to see it and someone blew it.
Rving and the great outdoors have very little in common anymore. - HorsedocExplorer IIFew years back when Bluebird was still making the Wanderlodge it was the 'in' thing to have the musical horns on those coaches. Many years there was a Wanderlodge rally from all over the nation in Perry Ga - just south of Ft Valley where they were built. When the rally closed and attendees started to leave it was sorta startling to hear these thing playing everything from On the Road and Dixie to the Calvary Charge. Seemed like fun then
- 2oldmanExplorer III just blew mine. Can't resist a little boy doing the arm-yank thing.
- MCDDYExplorerAt least he didn't have those musical horns that play "On the Road Again" and various others. Several folks in our FMCA chapter had them and play that song when leaving a rally till they got out of earshot. This thread reminded me that I haven't heard them in several yrs.
Sometimes after an extended "Happy Hour" several of them would tune up their horns and have a concert.
Dave - Don_DonExplorerYou need to get a hobby man if something like that is all you have to fixate on.
- doxiemom11Explorer IIMany people tooting at the parks where we are at are tooting and waving goodbye to us, the camp hosts. Our sites are usually near the entrance/exit and many campers do this as they leave. It really makes you feel appreciated.

I am enjoying nature while sitting under my awning when I hear somebody pulling out the campground tooting his air horn. Thanks for startling everyone:( What is up with that? Didn't he get enough attention as as a kid?
You know the type. Why do they think that we'd appreciate the disruption?
Might need to try a little decaff...
Just sayin ;)
Jim - TexasShadowExplorer III had an uncle who always blasted his horn when he arrived for a visit. Then he would get out and holler "let's start the party!"
we loved him. - DonBajaExplorerWe were camped at Quartzsite when a Bluebird stopped on the way out and played "on the road again" on his air horn. I loved it.
