Bounder Classic Discount off List

Sounds like a great price for the diesel and IMHO it looks like a great floorplan. Snap it up before someone else gets there.

I would much rather have the Freightliner chassis with Cummins power.

Fyi, he also has a 2013 bounder classic 34b on a Frieghtliner chassis with 6.7L diesel for $106,000. Is that the better deal?

Thanks for all the info!!. As for the holding tanks, this coach has the optional larger tanks, although I dont recall how much larger right now.
He also came back with a price of $72,250. Seems like an ok price, but I'm still concerned about everthing being 2 years old.

I agree with crasster.

The moment you drive it off the lot, it becomes a two-year old used coach.
You have to take that huge depreciation hit into account, and take it right off the top for starters.
It's not your fault no one else wanted to buy it, so it shouldn't cost you money because of it.

Isn't it generally assumed anyone can negotiate 25% off a brand new RV?
If so, then:
$119,000 - 25% = $89,250 is the starting point, then subtract the two-year depreciation hit from that.

So $70-ish...but it comes down to demand for the coach. It's been sitting, clearly people aren't lining up to buy it...and it's costing that dealer money every single day he has to floorplan it. He needs to cut his losses.

I would emphasize, 2012 is NOT new at all. In fact, 2013 is halfway over thus 2014 models are "new". Tell them that it has been outside for a year, tires are older, belts older, seams, roof, paint, etc., all older. Offer 60-65% of MSRP.

I'd be gunning between $70K-80K

EDIT - What I would do is go, show huge interest, be concerned about the year, THEN LEAVE.... LEAVE LEAVE LEAVE. Call back later and say "I have X dollars right here and will come back right now if you can sell it for X dollars".

Leaving puts you in more power.

Be aware that the holding tank capacities for the Bounder Classic are abnormally small for a rig that size. I'm not sure why they have done this, but all the Bounder Classics have small holding tank capacities. 50 gallons fresh water, 40 gallons gray water, 30 gallons black water. To give you a comparison, our 2002 Bounder 31W has 100 gallons fresh water, 58 gallons gray, and 42 gallons black. What's the use of being able to sleep 5 or six people if you're dry camping for a day or two and can't support that many?

If the MH is a 2012 the chassis is probably one year older. You only have a couple of more years on those tires. 60% sounds good to me.
