Bounder "Classic" Info.....

Hi all. Saw a '14 Bounder Classic today, it looked pretty good. I was wondering what type of problems Bounder owners are having. Noises, rattles, repair problems, or any driving issues. Is this a rig worthy of consideration. Has there been any issues with warranty repairs? We saw some nice rigs at Lamesa rv in Sanford, Fl. Have any owners had or have any experience, good or bad, with this dealer?

Thanks for any information and opinions.

We looked at the Bounder Classic last year when buying our first MH. The one we were considering was the 1-1/2 bath model. The competition was the Winnebago/Itasca Vista/Sunstar 35F twins. After about the fifth time looking at the Classic we discovered the furniture was very uncomfortable for sitting. Also, the Classic as a rubber roof as compared to the Winnie fiberglass roof. Aside from uncomfortable furniture was what we perceived to be much better build quality in the Winnie. The Winnie has several features to set it ahead, i.e., sonar type tanks sensors that are very accurate. The engine actually preheats the hot water heater with the engine coolant so you arrive at the campground with a full tank of hot water. Many other little things. To get the same comfort and floor plan we would have had to go up to the regular Bounder with its more comfortable furniture.
Winnebago is the same company as it has been, weathering the recession with the same ownership.

At the Tampa RV show, the two MHs that we liked the best were the Bounder 35k and the Winnie Vista 35f. As you mentioned they are just about the same exact floorplan. I couldn't put my finger on exactly what it was but I also liked the Winnebago just a little better. I definitely agree that the Winnie Vistas are a darn good deal.
  • We love our 34b bounder classic. Small grey and black tanks but for the camping we do it works. Quality is less than other coached but you will be surprised with what it has. Auto transfer switch is nice. Same chassis as the more expensive rigs. We have gas version. No problem with the v10 although we did cheap handling fix and a five star tune. Pulls our wrangler with no problems. No solid counters but we can upgrade those later. Friends have an expedition and our coach has many of the same components.
