Brake Adjustments Ford E450 Motorhomes

Haven't adjusted but had the fronts replaced by a shop at about 36k. Experienced problems just after that and I replaced the front driver's side caliper myself. I read that a sticky caliper is common on an E450.

We took our 31C Winne to a regular Ford dealer. They handle delivery trucks so it's no problem to do a similar size RV.

Depends on the individual dealer. Our local Ford dealer had a small building and could not get a large vehicle inside.
We were lucky to find a KAL Tire associate store close to us that have the size and facilities to work on large vehicles, cars to large trucks.
An RV dealer could do the work, if they have MH facilities (mechanics etc). The RV dealers near us only sell trailers and will not touch MHs.

Have calipers/slides cleaned and lubricated. Should prevent a seized caliper at the most inopportune time.
When we had ours done last year, they did a chemical test (for water/impurities etc) and said that the brake fluid was OK. They did find that the brake pads were dried or defective and large pieces were flaking off. Only minimal wear after 30000 miles.

I would flush out old brake fluid with new , also I would go for the transmission flush some would say drop pan but you never get all the old fluid that way.

What type of maint. do you recommend, My 2006 E-450 has 20K miles and I have not touched them, what do you recommend?

Adjustments haven't been necessary but we have had maintenance done just to inspect and lubricate. We found the breaks squeak a lot if you don't keep up with maintenance.

also mine disks all the way around no adjustments needed:)

Ours has disc brakes on all 4 corners - no adjustment needed until replacement time. So far, we have 40K on the clock and the brake pads still look new.

If you had drum brakes, they should be self-adjusting.
Every time you back up and step on the brakes on vehicle with drum brakes, you are adjusting them.
