Brake controller help - FIXED!!

I have a 97 Tioga Ford chassis. I am adding a brake controller easy enough. Looked under dash and found plug for Tekonsha harness and thinking way too easy. I plugged in harness then plugged in the brake controller and the passenger front parking light came on. Doesn't matter if the key is on or off running or not the light stays on. Only goes off by unplugging the brake controller. Anyone ever ran into this before?

    I figured out my problem on the brake controller and maybe help someone else later. My 97 Tioga has the pre-wired electric brake socket just behind the emergency brake. Well actually it has two sockets one just above the other. I guess I plugged into the wrong one. The lower one is black and now powers my controller and no constant parking light. The other one was grey and not sure what it goes to just seen the blue and orange wire and assumed it was for the brake controller. Anyways hope my frustration can be useful.
