My right front caliper is sticking some - 2002 Ford F53 frame w 65k miles. Makes a groan noise while coasting at low speed after traveling some distance. I also seem to have gone from 8 mpg to 7- mpg.
The wheel turns with considerable force with it up off the ground. I can beat it with a rubber mallet and it frees up until the next brake squeeze. It's scheduled to go in Monday . . . . $$
I would attempt a caliper repair / replace but don't have the tools to remove the wheel - need big sockets and a big breaker bar.
