Thanks for all the helpful replies. We will be parked out on a horse ranch so we won't be bothering anyone. And Kerrlakerroo, you probably don't live in Texas - we will have to run it overnight, for sure. With 3 breathing sleeping bodies, a 70 overnight temperature with high humidity - we will sweat to death in the RV without the AC overnight. I can turn it off some in the morning when we are out and about. It only takes a couple of minutes to cool down, it is only a 24 ft Motorhome.
I will be sure to fill up with gas before we park and we can go get more gas if we need to. I just checked the carbon monoxide alarm and it is working. We will keep all vents and windows closed while we are asleep.
I just changed the oil and used it a couple of hours the other day while loading up so it is running well. I will check the oil periodically and I have extra oil if we need it.
Unless anyone can think of anything else I should do, I think we are good to go.
