When shopping for a used truck the dealer was quick to offer a CarFax report. I looked at it and it did not show any accidents. When I took the truck for a test drive it had something loose in the right front suspension area and pulled really hard to the right. To top it all of it was a dealer certified used vehicle which should have meant it went through an inspection process and repair of any faults.
I looked carefully at the right front and began to see signs it had been in and accident. From what I could tell the right front had been damaged and repaired.
I was willing to buy it because the repair was very well done. The dealer agreed to align the front and fixed whatever was loose. I didn't take the deal because the dealer was a no negotiation dealer. Wouldn't even consider a lower than quoted price.
Moral---- CarFax and certified didn't mean a thing with this vehicle
