center winshield trim

I have a 2004 Fleetwood Expedition 38n. I just had the windsheild replaced (both sides) and the center windsheild trim was damaged. The part is plastic and looks like a T. It is at the top and bottom of the center post of the windsheild. Fleetwood said the part was discontinued even though the same part was used on several models over several years. Has anyone else found where this part can be found. (I know that I'm not the only one that has had to have a windsheild replaced and the trim T was damaged.) Thanks.....Scott 757-943-8055
  • always leaves you wondering if they found what they were looking for or didn't appreciate the help when they don't tell you. just saying.
  • Just a thought -- a piece of plastic/rubber threshold or transition strip might work. Although designed for use in your home at doorways they are plastic, "T" shaped and come in a large variety of color and size. Take a piece of your broken one to a flooring store and see what they have. If you can find something close it can be trimmed with a box cutter.

Necessity is the mother of invention.

    Safe travels.
  • The guy who put in the glass should know the place to get it. I don't have you model but when ours was crack, the glass guy just requested it along with the glass.
  • I have a 2005 39S Excursion - what does Fleetwood expect us to do? Throw away the motorhome if we can't get the trim piece to seal the windshield? I'll have to ask them the next time I call.
