Good morning all. We have changed our rig. We now have a 2013 Heartland Landmark Mesa fifth wheel 40', pulled by a 2014 Chevy Silverado 3500HD DuraMax diesel 1 ton, dual rear wheels, crew cab, loaded....

Best of luck with your new rig, sounds like a nice setup, you'll love that truck, it will be a solid tow.
After owning a fiver, I agree it's nice to have more room when living in it full or almost full time. It's nice to be able to use your own laundry facilities if it has a W/D.
Whenever we had a large rv, we spent more time inside. When we had smaller rv's like our TC's and now the small C , we spent and now spend our time outside. Either way works.
Be careful with the weather, these storms that hit us are so strong and devastating. When the threat shows it's ugly face, vacate. You can always come back and you might be the only one with your rubber on the ground.
