Changing out the City Water Connector

I hope this is in the correct section, if not my apologies! This is my first post! I just purchased a used 2003 Southwind over the weekend and the only problem I found was the city water connection is leaking/spraying under pressure. I believe I need to replace the whole connection because of where it is spraying. Before I dive into this, anyone have an idea on how hard it is to replace? I am hoping its just a matter of removing the screws and unscrewing the old one. Using some plumbing tape and screwing the new one back in. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

  • There is different style. You need to do a little research before jumping into the project.
What is the configuration of your current city water fill?
Does it have a gravity fresh water tank fill?
    What size is it?
It is hard top replace the hose connection alone because some are crimped after they are installed in the hatch. Some times it is just better to get a whole new hatch assembly like this.

  • Very easy. Remove the screws, carefully cut the seal putty holding it on, then unhook the hose. The hose connection is a threaded connection...
